An Orgasmic Affair

When a certain beauty product you've adored for the past 17 years makes a relaunch, you know it deserves your attention. This month, Nars Cosmetics Philippines, in cooperation with Rustan's The Beauty Source, is reintroducing the Nars Orgasm line. To kick it off, they held a Masterclass at Rustan's Makati which was conducted by Nars Cosmetics Philippines Lead Artist, Mr. Archibald Tolentino.

The Masterclass was one i could not miss, not only because Archibald is a good friend and an amazing makeup artist that i truly look up to, but more so because i know that there's more to learn with this iconic beauty product. From the time time it launched in 1999, it has become a staple in my own makeup kit and have traversed to my working kit when i decided to do makeup for a living full time in 2010.

As with any masterclass, Archibald started off by emphasizing on the importance of proper skin care, and they made us test their skin care line from the toner, serum, moisturizer, and primer. Their skin care is very light on the skin and improves the skin's appearance as you continue to use it daily. It has no strong scent either so it is very safe to use by those with sensitive skin.

He then continued to putting the rest of the foundation down to the lipstick using the Orgasm range, as it now consist of nine products which includes the iconic blush, a nail colour, a lipgloss, and a Multiple stick which can be used on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Since the shade of Orgasm is very unique yet versatile at the same time, people of various race and color can use the product. It can come of as pinkish to those with light skin, while it can look peachy to those who have brown and olive skin.
